Nashua, NH - June 6, 2008 - Reports have been flooding the city of Nashua over the past two days that mysterious green men are starting to appear at public events throughout the city.. Three of these green men were spotted roaming up and down Main Street, poking and prodding at passers-by this past Wednesday, at the Annual Taste of the Downtown event. Diplomatic efforts were made to try communicating with these strange visitors in every known language, but they remained silent.  

One onlooker said "They appeared harmless enough, and everything they saw seemed very new and strange to them.” One of the downtown restaurants gave them some wooden spoons, which caused the three green men to start moving together in a choreographed manner, very similar to what humans call dancing. “If that’s how they communicate, then I need to learn their language!” said another observer of the strange phenomenon.

Many people over the past two days have been very intrigued by these men with green heads who are outfitted in solid black. Their shirts had just one word on it, IUGO. Top scientists and linguists from NASA and DARPA are working diligently to decipher the word. NASA’s spokesman, Ima Geek, had this to say, "We're working on several theories regarding their origin at the moment, but they definitely appear to be very high-ranking ambassadors from another system we’ve never discovered. We do know they have a peculiar fascination with green Skittles."  

Nashua insiders who follow regional trends realize that IUGO is the name of Nashua's Young Professionals Organization, and theorize that these men have come a long way to participate in IUGO's 1-Year Anniversary to be held on June 18th at Martha's Exchange. To help promote this event, these strange visitors were handing out business cards asking people to enter a raffle to win a flat screen HDTV, which insiders postulate must be a symbol of peace and goodwill in their world. Apparently the only way to win this symbol of goodwill is to obtain a card from one of the green visitors.  

Residents and business people throughout Greater Nashua are advised to look for these green men around town at various events and venues throughout the month of June. While it is anyone’s guess where they will show up next, we have received some credible information from several sources that these green men will likely be at the following locations:

• Nashua Pride Ballgame, June 13
• United Way Annual Dinner, June 18
• Rock’n Ribfest, June 21-22    

The government has thus far deemed these strange visitors harmless so look out for them and ask for one of their business cards to enter to win their symbol of goodwill - a flat screen HDTV*!
